Yamato Restaurant is the first of it's kind in the Dunn and nearby surrounding areas. Nestled in the Dunn Plaza Shopping Center, just off of HWY 421, locals will no longer have to venture out of town to get an authentic Japanese meal. Yamato is opened for both lunch and dinner, offering a wide array of FRESH Sushi by the bar or at your table... this will soon be a town favorite.

Veteran Restraunteurs, Koon Hai and Mieng Wang, partnered with Chef Van Chi Yueh, and opened the 7,000 sq.ft. restaurant at the beginning of September, 2007. Unlike other Japanese steakhouses that feature at-table preparation of food, Yamato Japanese Steak & Seafood Restaurant has one large grill area, viewable from all angles of the restaurant. Diners will still have the experience of seeing food cooked, but will not have to sit with strangers at a large table.

With it's 200 seat capacity, the restaurant will be able to accomodate large parties both in the regular dining area and the private party room. Consider Yamato for your business events, family reunions, prom night, birthdays, or just for a nice night out to dinner.

As far as the prices, expect a pleasant surprise from what you might expect to pay in larger cities. Yamato offers high quality food at affordable prices...Lunch entrees starting at just $5.50 and dinner entrees from $6.95.
